Eye Allergies

Eye allergies, also known as allergic conjunctivitis, occur when the eyes react to substances that irritate them (allergens), leading to inflammation of the conjunctiva, the transparent membrane covering the white part of the eyeball. Symptoms include redness, itchiness, watering, and swelling. They are often triggered by pollen, dust, pet dander, or certain eye drops. Treatment typically involves avoiding known allergens, using antihistamine eye drops, or taking other allergy medications.

Eye allergies happen when your eyes get red, itchy, and watery because they are reacting to things like pollen or dust that bother them.
