Keratoconus

Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This deformation deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the retina, causing distorted vision. Symptoms may include blurring, light sensitivity, and the need for frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions. In advanced cases, a corneal transplant may be necessary. The cause of keratoconus is not fully understood, but it is believed to be related to genetic and environmental factors.

Keratoconus is when the clear, front part of your eye (the cornea) gets thin and starts to bulge out like a cone. This makes things look blurry or bent.
